God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.”

The message bible

Nepal Leprosy Trust (NLT) receives a significant proportion of its financial support from private individuals and charities around the world, many of whom have given faithfully for a number of years.

Approximately 20% of NLT’s total income is from the sale of Fair Trade Nepali products, including those manufactured in NLT’s own income generating projects in Kathmandu.

The profits from NLT’s “Himalayan Handicrafts” shop in Nepal, and from export sales, provide enough money to operate all of NLT’s social welfare projects in Kathmandu. Additional profits go towards the work at Lalgadh Leprosy Services Centre.

NLT receives grants from several organisations that support leprosy control and prevention-of-disability projects around the world and would like to acknowledge their support gratefully:

– American Leprosy Mission

– British Leprosy Relief Association (LEPRA)

– Effect:hope The Leprosy Mission Canada

– ElectricAid

– Irish Aid

– Sasakawa Memorial Health Foundation

– Combined Services Third World Fund (CSTWF)

NLT has also built up partnerships with a number of grant-making trusts, such as the Kadoorie Charitable Foundation, that share its aims and objectives. It is looking to build up further relationships with trusts, individuals and churches willing to support its work.
